Have you ever wondered if it is possible to ride an offroad trail from Europe to the Pacific Ocean, across Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia and Siberia?
In May 2012, the Sibirsky Extreme Crew map an offroad trail from Europe to Magadan, Russia with a plan of spending over three months on the road.
Crossing challenging territory, as diverse as the steppes of Russia, the Altai Mountains, the Mongolian grasslands and the pinnacles of the Serbian challenges: The BAM Road and the Road of Bones, the crew eventually reached Magadan, seven months later. Not for the faint of heart or the uninitiated, this is one adventure you do not want to miss. The Sibirsky Extreme Trail ride pioneered a first ever dirt road trail across Eurasia, from Europe to Magadan and the Pacific. Watch the video trailer below.
While the website seems to have no recent updates, there is a wealth of information on the internet for someone with the right motivation and interest. More information about the Road of Bones and the BAM road, and the Sibirsky trail itself can be found on Wikipedia, motorcycle forums (advrider.com and Horizons Unlimited comes to mind).
A (rather expensive) book about the same can be purchased from Amazon.com, and I have not been able to find the dvd of the same.
What do you think?
